Thankfully, the water board and the housing trust have come up trumps. We now have our water supply back due to the hard work of the workmen involved.

Many thanks to all those who've helped to resolve our issues this Christmas week in extremely difficult circumstances. Much appreciated.

Two bottles of water for five people

We haven't had any water since early yesterday morning. The water board says it's not their responsibility. After a number of calls, the housing trust is finally sending round a plumber. In the meantime, for all our needs (a family of five) they've given us two 1.5 litre bottles of branded water. My wife thought it was a joke. No one's laughing.

Hoole in the evening

The Hoole shops are beautifully lit up at the moment, though this photo doesn't do them justice. Visit them if you can. Friendly welcomes all round.
